Naming
The name “Rote Elster” was created by combining the surnames of the two founders. In European culture, magpies are known as birds that spread rumors that are beneficial to the SMM team. A negative connotation was that magpies stole shiny gems. I decided to use the idea that the most valuable thing Red Elster could steal was the hearts of customers.
Branding
For the branding, a combination of accented red handwriting elements were chosen, such as hearts, notes, and sounds that appear in the nest. Most of the social network’s posts and stories have their own branding and style, so the idea was to create a blank and calm background that would help highlight the work.
Site in Desktop, Tablet & Phone
The site was developed for three screen sizes: desktop, tablet and phone, with elements scaled between 3 breakpoints. For the brand it was important to show the overview of services, description of projects and call to action to contact. During development, small design guides were created in Figma and transferred to Framer. Also the site has 2 versions in German and English.
